You know it’s a good day when you’ve got a fresh serving of Her Songs to tuck into, especially when it comes with a side of a new EP announcement. ‘Lost A Little’ is the first installment from the collective’s Toronto Vol. 2, which follows the preceding Toronto Vol. 1, that we discussed with the mutli-national R&B collective in an interview here. Featuring Her Songs’ members London-based Dane Marie Dahlstrom, Brooklyn- based Colombian Dani Murcia, Christchurch, New Zealand-based Emily C Browning, French Londoner The Naked Eye and London-based Emmavie, the latest track is another mystifying piece of genre-spanning elegance for the wanderluster in all of us. Exploring themes of creativity and travel, the lyrics are full of hopeful soul set against a layered backdrop of world music rhythms and contemporary R&B melodies. ‘Lost a Little’ is certainly a sound for looking ahead to a better world.
